In this paper, we study some mathematical properties of the gamma Gumbel distribution. We provide explicit expressions for the moments, quantile function, Renyi entropy, and order statistics. We also discuss the estimation of the model parameters using the maximum likelihood technique, method of moments and Bayesian method. We provide an application to a real data set which illustrates the usefulness of the model.
