Abstract:It can be said that the opposite dualities is when we mention two meanings or more and then we mention their opposites provided this contrast is in order. The opposite dualities is one of the most prominent methods of systems of meanings. This rhetorical style gives pleasure and a special taste to the text, and it can be found abundantly in poetry. Many poets have used this art, including the Andalusian poet Ibn Ferkoun, so we can see that clearly in most of his poetry.It can be noted that the poetry of the Andalusian poet Ibn Ferkoun has many aspects of opposites dualities, it is due to that the Andalusian literature is famous for its desire for creative decoration. The Andalusian reality was a mixture of war and peace, bliss and misery and stability and turbulence so this has a clear effect on his poetry. Furthermore, the poet used this art to express his thoughts and emotions through opposites dualities and rhetoric correspondence. He also used all kinds of opposite dualities, whether (Al- Tabbaq and Al- Muqubala) with its types of positive and negative. In this research we focus on correspondence because it has a wonderful artistic role and this is what we will cover in the analysis.
