چکیده

Graphene oxide (GO) modified transition metal oxide based composites were successfully synthesize. GO used as a modifier in the catalyst. The structural characteristics of GO/NiO nanoparticle were systematically studied by using various instrumental techniques including X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX). The XRD and SEM results showed that the particle size was between 20 nm and 50 nm. The catalytic efficiency of the synthesized composite catalyst samples based thermal decomposition of AP was determined by differential scanning calorimetery (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) methods. The results show that GO/NiO nanocomposites exhibit high catalytic activity. The peak temperature of the high-temperature decomposition of AP decreased by 135 °C and at the same time the peak of the low-temperature decomposition disappeared. As a result, the GO/NiO nanocomposites could be a promising candidate material for an AP-based propellant.
