The results revealed that Phragmites australis has a remarkable ability to bioaccumulation due to the presence of Higher concentrations of minerals in its tissues compared to water. The bioaccumulation factors of the measured metals varied, with copper, chromium and zinc showing the highest bioaccumulation values, followed by lead, nickel and cadmium in lower amounts. This accumulation of the heavy element indicates that Phragmites australis can be used in the water purification process
