A novel approach for diastereoselective synthesis of spiro [indoline-3,2'-pyrrole] derivatives through a three-component reaction of isatin-based ketimines, pyridinium salts, and alkynes in the presence of DABCO under low power microwave. The products were obtained in 70–95% yields in 7–15 min. The advantages of this method consist of environmentally friendly reaction conditions, short reaction times, and good to excellent yields.
