|
Sulfonated ordered nanoporous carbon (CMK-5-SO3H) efficiently catalyzes the synthesis of 2-substituted benzimidazoles using cyclocondensation of various aldehydes and o-phenylenediamines. This catalyst can be recovered and reused without significant loss of activity
