Alkene / alkane separation is the most expensive stage in the process of ethyleneproducing. Adsorptive separation with porous solid adsorbents is an alternative way to currently used cryogenic distillation process. In this work by GCMC simulation we investigate ethane and ethyleneadsorption in twoisoreticularstructures of MOF-74 with different pore size. Adsorption isotherms determined in 318 K.IRMOF-1 has higher uptake than IRMOF-2 over the entire pressure range.
