In this paper, we approximate the solution of initial and boundary value problems of advection-diffusion equation. To solve these equations we will use a numerical method based on B-spline basis functions and collocation method. It will be shown that the given scheme is unconditionally stable and convergence. we also present some examples to illustrate the efficiency of the method.
