In our current work to synthesize efficient fluorescent chemosensors for sugars, carbazole was used as fluorophore and different spacers were employed to connect the fluorophore to receptor. The synthesis of desired fluorescent chemosensors will be reported in details and their structures will be characterized by melting point, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy.
