The situation in Gilan in the 17th century. and Gilyans are depicted as a product of a certain historical era, its customs. The image of Gilyan is gradually recreated in the novel. Reader's impressions are accumulated gradually, they are made up of images, episodes, and details scattered in the text, as it were, but in fact thought out, subordinate to each other. The characters of the Gilians are created with the help of various means - subtext, remarks, irony, allegory, allusion, etc. A special role is played by the phraseology and vocabulary of Farsi (including swear words), which are widely introduced into the speech of the characters.
