This article attempts to summarize and analyze the history of the development of Persian literature in Russia. The works of Iranian literature that are popular in Russia today are listed. The relevance of this publication is determined. The author of the article gradually and consistently reveals the specifics of the development of Persian literature in Russia. The beginning of the interest of Russian literary critics in Iranian literature appeared at the end of the XVIII century. For the next two centuries:– Iranian studied Persian literature from different angles, focusing on different literary aspects: the specific content, the exoticism of the presented topic, melody, shorts and colorful language of Persian poets and prose writers, wisdom, thoughts of the main creations of Persian authors. The names of outstanding Iranists of both the XIX and XX centuries are listed and their outstanding contribution to the development of Persian literature is noted.
