In this paper, we introduce a new extension of the ZLindley distribution, called the Marshall-Olkin extended ZLindley distribution. The new model possesses two parameters, which makes it more flexible than the ZLindley distribution. We discuss the shapes of the density and hazard functions of the new distribution. The estimation of the parameters is explored using the maximum likelihood approach. We provide a real data application to verify the flexibility of the new distribution compared to the ZLindley distribution.
