The aim of this dissertation is to investigate two generalizations of the half-logistic distribution. These are proportional hazard rate half-logistic and proportional reversed hazard rate half-logistic distributions. Mathematical and statistical properties of these distributions like moments and entropy will be investigated. Relationships between these distributions and some well-known statistical distributions will be presented. Some estimation methods such as the maximum likelihood and moment estimation methods are used to estimate the parameters of these distributions. Finally, we will investigate the usefulness and application of these distributions using some real data sets
