Abstract

It was explored how neurolinguistics is related to the field of psycholinguistics, which seeks to elucidate the cognitive mechanisms of language by employing the traditional techniques of experimental psychology. It was discussed that cognitive psychology studies how information is processed and retained in the brain, that psycholinguistics specifically focuses on how the brain processes language, and that these areas of study help us understand memory retention, learning disabilities, and why certain teaching methods are more effective than others.
