Title Selective Oxidation of Hydrocarbons and Alcohols Using Phen-MCM-41 as an Efficient Co-Catalyst in Combination with NHPI-Based Nano-Magnetic Catalyst
Type JournalPaper
Keywords N-Hydroxyphthalimide. Nanomagnetic catalyst. Catalytic oxidation. Benzyl alcohols. Hydrocarbons
Abstract In this study, MCM-41 immobilized o-phenanthroline (Phen-MCM-41) was prepared and employed as an effective heterogeneous co-catalyst in combination with nano magnetite-supported N-hydroxyphthalimide (Fe3O4@NHPI) for catalytic oxidation of hydrocarbons and alcohols. This co-catalyst was characterized by TGA, FT-IR, FESEM-EDX, XRD and BET techniques. It could be simply recovered and reused several times without significant loss of its co-catalytic activity.
