The application of magnetic nano particles in the field of catalysis has become a useful area of research.1 Functionalized magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) have been employed in organic synthesis, showing excellent catalytic activities in oxidation,2 hydrogenation,3 C–C coupling,4 dihydroxylation of olefins,5 and amination6 reactions.
