n this paper, in order to combination of soft sets and rough sets with semigroups, the notion ofsoft rough semigroup is introduced according to Feng’s idea. Roughness in semigroups with respect tosoft rough approximation spaces is studied. In particular, some basic properties of lower and upper softrough approximations of a subset with respect to two different soft approximation spaces are investigated.Finally, sufficient conditions for the lower and upper soft rough approximations of an arbitrary subset ofa semigroup to be subsemigroup and (bi-, interior) ideal are provided.
