The magic triangle of energy policy includes the triple dilemma of energy issues, i.e. competitiveness, energy security and sustainability. Although these three components may be incompatible with each other, all three goals can be achieved by controlling some key factors, especially energy intensity and productivity. Considering the importance of electricity consumption in sustainable development and significant losses in the electricity transition and distribution (T&D) network, a dynamic model for electricity T&D productivity is presented in this paper. In this regard, a mental model as well as causal loop and stock flow diagrams for the closed boundary of electricity T&D productivity have been designed, presented and analyzed.
