Along with other tangible and intangible factors affecting international trade, culture has an undeniable effect on foreign trade. However, our knowledge of the impact of this intangible factor on international trade is limited. The main purpose of this research is to test the hypothesis that culture has a positive effect on international trade. To test this hypothesis, a panel data model has been used for ECO member countries in the period 1991-2021. The findings of this study confirm the hypothesis. Therefore, cultural capacities are an important factor in the development of economic relations. Among other results of this research, we can mention the positive effect of economic structure, competitiveness and foreign direct investment on international trade.
