This article is devoted to the development of professional competencies of Iranian students of philology in the specialty of translation in the bachelor’s level. The author teaches written translation from Persian to the Russian language in the University of Mazandaran, identifies that many students are facing difficulties practically on all language levels starting from the lexical translation problems to the level of syntactic relations, especially while translating into Russian. Studying the negative effect of the factors author gives some suggestions for overcoming these problems.
