The proximity formalism is used to study the influence of the surface energy coefficient and temperature T of compound nucleus on the half-life of the -decay process. For this purpose, we perform a systematic study based on the original version of the prox- imity model. The obtained results of the present investigation reveal that the half-life of the -decay process reduces by increasing the strength of the parameter . Whereas, temperature-dependence of the compound nucleus increases the calculated values of the -decay half-life.
