The art of book-binding, as a branch of the Iranian civilization in the history of the art of illustration the continuous developments and has experienced significant changes to spread the culture of science and quality of part in providing an attractive and artistic and worthy of protection scientific manuscripts. The developments of the early Islamic centuries until the end of the twelfth century AH / eighteenth continued a remarkable way and included the introduction of binding techniques, using diverse materials and the creation and implementation of fine cute designs. In this article, the most important developments in the art of book-binding domain of Iranian civilization in different historical periods were evaluated and also features the art of Iran in terms of technical and artistic book-binding, according to the samples in the study were various treasures. The results indicate that the most important art developments in the field of Persian civilization should be binding in the period Timurid, Safavid and Qajar searched.
