In this paper, we intend to obtain the extended Korteweg-de Vries(K-dV) equation in the following Dα τ φ1 + λ3 2 [ 3 2λ4 − (C2(1 − f) + D2fσ2) ] D2α ξ φ1+ λ3 2 ( 5 2λ6 − C3(1 − f) − fσ3D3 ) (Dα ξφ1) 3 + λ3 2 D3α ξ φ1 = 0 by using the reductive perturbation approach and we explore solutions of this equation using the generalized exponential rational function method. The answers obtained in this study are new and have not been reported so far.
