In this article, an optimal single acceptance sampling plan for lot acceptance is determined through the utilization of truncated life tests. This plan is developed specifically for situations where the lifetime variable follows a type I half-logistic Burr X (\textit{TIHLBX}) distribution. In order to guarantee a certain median lifetime, the minimum sample size required varies based on the chosen acceptance numbers, consumer's confidence levels, and the ratio of the experimental time to the specified median lifetime. To assess the performance of these plans, the operating characteristic (\textit{OC}) values are calculated. The paper includes a numerical example to further clarify the obtained results of the proposed plan.
