This paper provides the correct relation of the predictive likelihood function of a future record based on records and inter-record times in general. Actually, it is proved that the relation which has been used by many authors for the predictive likelihood function of a future record based on records and inter-record times is wrong and the correct one is obtained. A real data example is provided for the purpose of illustration.
