The article devotes the consideration of the problem of attributive combinations studying in Russian by Persian speaking philological students. The paper provides the most frequent types of attributive phrases in Russian and their equivalent constructions in the Persian language. As a result of the comparative analysis, it is revealed that in the Persian language, in contrast to Russian, the syntactic relations between the components in phrases are expressed by function words, such as prepositions and genitive indicator. It was revealed that attributive phrases built on government and adjacency in Russian, in comparison with its corresponding equivalents in the Persian language, are characterized by a wide variety of grammatical constructions possibilities, where there is a certain system that organizes varieties of semantic relations. The incomplete coincidence of this category in the Russian and Persian languages and the insufficient representation of Persian-speaking students about their various forms of expression in the Russian language is the reason for the difficulty in using such phrases. In order to overcome such difficulties, it is recommended to familiarize students in more detail with various forms of expression of attributive constructions in the Russian language, as well as to supplement educational material based on a comparison of the student's native language with the Russian language.
