Abstract
Nitrostyrenes are conveniently converted to the corresponding carboxylic acids in high yields at room temperature with Amberlyst A-26 supported hydroperoxide which is prepared in situ from 35% hydrogen peroxide and amberlyst A-26 (OH−).
