This research paper, reports the preparation of palladium impregnated [Zn 2 (BDC) 2 (4-bpdh)]3DMF (Pd@TMU-16) with a simple liquid impregnation-reduction method as a novel and efficient catalyst with the high catalytic performance for coupling reactions. To indicate the excellent performance of the pre- sented catalytic system, the catalytic behavior of Pd@TMU-16 was tested in the Sonogashira C-C coupling reaction of aryl halides with different functional groups with terminal alkynes, and the desired products were produced with good yields. In addition, Pd@TMU-16 was recovered and reused for at least five cy- cles, and no obvious activity changes was seen. The investigation on the amount of Pd loaded in the catalyst achieved by inductive couple plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-OES) showed its stability during the coupling reaction
