Thin films of Cobalt oxide (CoO) fabricated by using pulse laser deposition method (PLD)on glass substrate. Cobalt oxide films were made utilizing this technique, which employed a Nd-Yag pulsed laser with a wavelength of (1064nm). The as- deposited films were examined by UV-Visible Spectrometer, Hall effect, I-V characteristics, gas sensor. Calculated optical properties and UV-VIS absorption spectra in the ultraviolet range. According to the results of the Hall effect measurement, the produced films are made of (p- type) semiconductors.electrical properties showed the connection between current and voltage is linear and specifying ohmic behavior. Thus, resistance can be conted by Ohm's law where it's almost constant. For cobalt oxide films in a 100 ppm in NO2 environment, a gas sensor was used. Cobalt oxide (CoO) films exhibit gas sensitivity (26.072%, 25.834%) at temperatures between 150oC and 200 oC.
