Abstract

The Finite Volume Element (FVE) methods for finding positive solutions for the elliptic problems of the type −∆u = λf(x)g(u) for x ∈ Ω, with Dirichlet boundary condition are discussed and analyzed in this paper. By using Matlab, we visualize the range of λ in which this problem achieves a numerical solution, and also discussed the behavior of the branch of this solution.
