In this work the interaction between Propylene-bipyridyldiylium- phenazine dihexafluorophosphate (pl.dppz) (PF6) compound and calf thymus DNA (ct-DNA) in tris buffer in ionic strength of =25 mM with pH. 7.1 was investigated by UV-Vis spectroscopic technique, Then hard modeling methods have been performed on an expanded UV--4s spectral data matrix to resolve concentration profiles and the pure spectra- f or pl.dppz compound, DNA and DNA-pl.dppz complex. In addition, binding constant ofDNA-pidppz complex is determined in this method. The results indicated that pl.dppz molecule could bind to DNA via an intercalative mode and the complex of pl.dppz-.DNA was formed.
