Ag/Zr0.9Ni0.1Oy nanocomposites weresynthesizedbyco-precipitationtechnique.EffectofAgcontenton the microstructure,electrical,magneticalandopticalpropertiesofZr0.9Ni0.1Oy dielectric wasinvestigated in detail.TheAgnanoparticlesdispersedintheZr0.9Ni0.1Oy matrix asarandomnetworkstructureand resultedintheimprovementofelectricalandmagneticalpropertiesoftheZr0.9Ni0.1Oy dielectric. The morphology andstructurepropertiesofAg/Zr0.9Ni0.1Oy nanocomposite werestudiedbyscanningelec- tron microscopy(SEM)technique.SEMobservationshowedthatthesilverparticlespresentedhomo- genous particledistributionintheZr0.9Ni0.1Oy matrix. Itwasfoundthatsampleswith45and47wt%Ag exhibitthedoublenegative(DNG)properties.Asaresult,thesimultaneousnegativepermittivityand negativepermeabilitywererealizedintheAg/Zr0.9Ni0.1Oy nanocomposites.
