Corrosion is a natural phenomenon in that all metals are affected by it. This problem is known as a critical issue in the industry sector. Petroleum is one of the essential industries that is highly faced with corrosion. The corrosion not only highly impacts the iron but also are affected all the metal. Low carbon steel is one of the crucial metals that are severely affected by corrosion. One of the materials used to produce oil and gas transmission lines is low carbon steel. Creating anti-corrosion properties in low carbon steel is an essential requirement. In the meantime, the utilization of nanomaterials is tremendously developed for its anti-corrosion applications inside the oil and gasoline industry due to its smooth production with high inhibitory efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Nanomaterials can prevent corrosion in a variety of methods. This study discussed using nanomaterials and polymeric to fabricate anti-corrosion surfaces. We made these materials by polymeric nano-coating to prevent corrosion in pipelines and tanks of oil used in the Low Carbon Steel (St-37). We deposited paint on glass molds to conduct mechanical tests and low carbon steel (St37) molds to conduct a Corrosion check. Also, we used epoxy resin primary material and two different nanoparticles, including zinc oxide and nickel oxide, to produce anti-corrosion surfaces. Based on the results, the polymeric solution synthesized from epoxy resin with 5% nickel oxide nanoparticles has the best performance for making the anti-corrosion layer on steel alloys. This sample has high durability against impact, wear, and friction tests. The epoxy resin with 5% nickel oxide samples has promising results in producing anti-corrosion surfaces on steel carbon alloy for oil equipment.
