In this paper, we consider an exponentiated moment exponential distribution and design a time truncated double acceptance sampling plan. The minimum sample sizes necessary to ensure a specified mean lifetime of product are obtained for selected acceptance numbers and consumer's confidence levels. The operating characteristic function and the associated producer’s risks are studied. The minimum mean ratios to the specified life at producer's risk are also analyzed. A numerical example is provided to illustrated the results.
