Abstract

In this paper, the effects of global magnetic field and thermal conduction on the vertical structure of the accretion discs have been investigated. In this study, four types of discs were examined: gas-pressure-dominated standard disc, radiation-pressure-dominated standard disc, advection dominates accretion flow (ADAF) disc, and slim disc. Moreover, the general shape of themagnetic field, including toroidal and poloidal components, is considered. Themagnetohydrodynamic equations were solved in spherical coordinates using self-similar assumptions in the radial direction. Following previous authors, the polar velocity vθ is non-zero and Trϕ was considered as a dominant component of the stress tensor. The results show that the disc becomes thicker compared to the non-magnetic fields. It has also been shown that the presence of the thermal conduction in the ADAF model makes the disc thicker; the disc is expanded in the standard model.
