Abstract

Vortex Bladeless is an alternative and innovative way to harness energy from wind, with different and exciting characteristics. In this paper, we intend to introduce this new and innovative method, as well as precisely surveying the effects of using different geometric profiles and utilizing different materials on the body structure of it. Vortex bladeless wind turbine is a modern technology that can be used insist of common turbines. According to the importance of the quantity of the natural frequency of the earlier mentioned body due to the necessity of occurrence of the resonance phenomenon, an attempt to analyze the structures frequency has been made utilizing the ABAQUS software. Another topic of certain importance in utilizing VBWT is Von karman shedding phenomenon. So, the conditions required to form this phenomenon as well as the wind speed range are also mentioned. In addition, for analyze the quantity of the fluid frequency of the structure using the ANSYS FLUENT software and finding the best profile to use aiding the occurrence of Von karman phenomenon has been made. Results of CFD showed that the best profile to be used for the vortex bladeless turbines is the circular profile. It was found that as the mass is increased, the structure takes longer to reach its natural frequency.
