Abstract

Hydrogen bonding plays a key role in molecular recognition and crystal engineering research . Aminopyrimidine-carboxylate interactions are of fundamental importance since they are involved in protein-nucleic acids recognition and protein-drug binding. 2-aminopyrimidine forms 1:1 adduct with different mono and dicarboxylic acid rather than individual self assemble compounds . The adduct of carboxylic acid with 2-aminoheterocyclic ring system form a graph-set motif of R22(8) . This motif is very roboust in aminopyrimidine carboxylic acid/carboxylate systems.
